The Nederhoff farm is located just south of Wellsburg.   Arnold's grandfather bought the farm sometime around 1918.   The buildings, including the barn with its unusual five-rafter construction, were built in 1927 when Arnold's parents were married.   The barn has been used for hogs, horses, and as a dairy barn.   It is now used for various purposes, including storage, a workshop, and a place to keep tropical plants and fish warm during the winter.   The quilt block displayed here is called "North Star."
