This barn, located in Holland, built in 1930 was moved to the present location from another location in town in the early 1950s. It was originally used for cattle/milking and for a short time in the 70s and 80s it was used for auto repairs. Loren & Jodi Meyer, current owners, have been told by long-time Holland residents that the acreage was once a clay/cement tile factory, also once a gas station (hence the U-shaped driveway). The Meyers have horses, dogs and cats. They team rope in the summer, so they sometimes have quite a crowd of animals at the place. The block that now shares a home with the many Meyer animals is "Sawtooth Star" and was finished in October 2007. |
