| The Krull's, decided they wanted to be a part of the Barn Quilt Project in early winter 2009. Since they have a great farm place, it made sense to use both farm buildings as a blank canvas for the quilt block project. The barn that now is the home for "Rail Fence" was built in 1953 and the corn crib with "Bed of Stars" in 1954. They were originally used for hay and straw storage and was originally constructed of wood and then more recently covered with steel siding. The Krull's use to raise many red angus cattle at this farm place. The two blocks were mounted with the help of Alliant Energy in July 2009. | |
