The
barn has been in the family since the mid 1930s and was purchased by Christopher
Schwark previous to 1945. It was originally used for teams of horses and
the
Kirkdorffer's use the barn to house their draft horses. The building has a
rock
foundation with a wood structure. Brian and Nancy took the project into
their hands
by building the frame, painting, and mounting the quilt block all by themselves!
