This rendition of the “Bachelor’s Puzzle” quilt block is located at the Horak farm ¼ mile north of Morrison, Iowa. The barn was built in the early 1900s, and exhibits square nails and older-style joinery. It was originally used for livestock and hay storage, and is now used for other storage. The Horak family constructed and painted their block during September of 2005, and the block was mounted with the assistance of Alliant Energy on October 19, 2005. |
