The Henze corncrib, located on the junction of Highway 14 and
20, is now
home to the the quilt block "Hens & Chicks." The farm has
been in the
family for 115 years and was purchased by their grandfather, Ferdinand
Henze in 1891. The corncrib was built in 1955 is used for storing
grain.
The quilt block was painted by the Susan & Gary Schroeder and Nancy
& Tom Flood and was sponsored by Scotty's Saloon in Grundy Center.
"Hens & Chicks" was mounted in July 2007 with the help of Alliant
Energy.
